Environmentally Friendly

Powder coatings meet environmental standards because they contain no solvents and emit virtually no hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) or volatile organic compounds (VOCs) so there is no need for a costly pollution control system.¹

Since the oversprayed powder can be reclaimed, waste is substantially minimized. The workpiece pretreatment (abrasive blast cleaning) allows the powder to directly adhere to the base metal, eliminating the use of primers and creating a monolithic coat with the substrate. No solvents are required during clean-up. Most importantly, the workers exposure to hazards is greatly minimized. Our pretreatment process is also earth-friendly. We do not use chemicals (phosphates or other hazardous cleaners). We contain our shot blast operation in an environmentally approved booth.
